Textra. It works fine on my S3. I get notifications, can respond, and ship new messages. That's good enough for me.

Highly customizable, reliable, includes VOIP calling, works on both my phone (cell and wi-fi) and my tablet (wi-fi only).

I was using Textra but it doesn't support the gif messages from the S-Pen. I switched dorsum to the stock bulletin awarding until Textra updates. When I was using Textra it would work on my S3 Frontier to with the Bluetooth connection. When it was out of range it showed the messages as the default awarding.

Stock. Information technology works with the themes, and it doesn't take the periodic plan issues that messages+ has.

Does Verizon Message+ support Spen, gif messages, etc ??May I suggest that y'all simply download Verizon Message+ and try it for yourself. If you don't like information technology or information technology doesn't meet your specifications exactly, just switch to something else. You lot're non locked in to any specific texting app.

Are you lot talking alive messages, I do them with textra all the fourth dimension. Textra works on my S3 frontier via Bluetooth or 4g. That'southward foreign information technology's non for y'all.

what are these 'periodic program bug' you speak of ?
When they added the conversation feature if a person using letters+ sent a text to someone non using messages+ the person not using it didn't go the text.
There is a current or at least very recent issue with information technology too.

Verizon Messages plus for me.
Very customizable and works across multiple devices with or without prison cell service.
The new text standard for sent, delivered, read type feedback is not fully implemented from carrier to carrier. I get "delivered" feedback to other Verizon users but but "sent" to other carriers.
I can't remember e'er having issues with messages plus.

I've said it before, merely I'k surprised by how good Verizon Letters + is, because how crappy all their other preinstalled apps are. Does everything I want, and very well.

The last time I tried it, Message+ wasn't providing the Border Lighting notification that I like and get with the Stock Messenger app.
Those using Bulletin+, is this nevertheless the case, or can you now go the Edge Lighting notification when texts come up in?

I get the edge lighting now with the bulletin + I utilize it for the fact all my family is on it and I know when my kids read my messages :-)
